The quality of landscaping and green spaces provided as part of the new development will be integral to the long term success of the proposal. Macfarlanes Landscape consultancy has been appointed by the applicant to ensure that the landscaping strategy is carefully considered as part of the scheme design.
The Zoning and Circulation diagram shows the site entrance is an avenue that leads through the proposed Home Zone, where it becomes a pedestrian area, and terminates at the proposed woodland walk. A path network is proposed for the site that extends beyond the road network, linking the smaller green spaces and proposed woodland walk to the rest of the scheme. A small attenuation pond on the northern side of the gateway is proposed as an amenity feature with a small footpath linking to the rest of the scheme.
