Rapleys are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to support the Head of Finance and other members of the Accounting team with day to day operations. The successful candidate will possess exceptional organisational and personal skills, along with an eye for detail.

Main Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Preparation of month end journals
  • Monthly nominal code reconciliations
  • Raising of sales invoices and providing assistance to colleagues raising sales invoices
  • Processing of Partners Business Mileage Claims
  • Track and resolve accounting problems and discrepancies as needed
  • Assist with the management of the recharge ledger (to include chasing up of colleagues and write-offs)
  • Provide general administrative assistance and reception cover
  • Supply ad-hoc team assistance to other team members

Skills and Experience

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Can-do attitude
  • Remain calm under pressure
  • Commercially minded
  • A degree of IT literacy is essential, especially with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with all members of staff
