Grant completed his Masters degree in City Planning and Real Estate Development from the University of Glasgow in 2015 and joined GL Hearn’s Scottish Planning Team in September 2015. Here he gained experience in a number of different sectors including retail, residential, employment and commercial across Scotland and England.

More specifically, he has recently worked with local authorities undertaking a review of their employment land; as well as being a member of the team who undertook appraisals regarding the future development of Longannet Power Station. Valuable experience was also gained when acting on behalf of a number of national property investors, retailers and other developers.

Grant is now advising on a wide range of planning projects across Scotland including retail, residential, employment and commercial developments. He has experience in undertaking land use studies, liaising with various agencies and stakeholders, public engagement/consultation, and submitting representations to local development plans.

Based in the Manchester office, Peter is responsible for all aspects of lease consultancy, Expert Witness and valuation instructions for the automotive and roadside sector within the north of the country. This includes motor dealerships, petrol filling stations and motorist’s centres.

Peter has a wealth of commercial and residential experience and has professionally represented a range of institutional landlords, corporate tenants, private individuals and financial institutions.

Peter joined Rapleys in 2002, was elected partner in 2012 and is a RICS Registered Valuer and a Chartered Environmentalist.

 

Following graduation from Paisley College, Colin spent four years in general commercial practice in Glasgow before joining Rapleys’ Huntingdon office to specialise in automotive & roadside related agency throughout the UK and Ireland.

In 1997 Colin transferred to Rapleys’ London office to head business space agency dealing with warehouse/industrial and office property throughout the UK from the West End and our national office network.

The department specialises in acquisition and disposal programmes on behalf of multiple occupiers such as Lok’nStore Group plc, Johnston Press plc and Siemens plc. Business space agency is also active in the development sector and has completed several industrial, trade counter and mixed use schemes in the south east of England.

Colin was elected a partner of Rapleys in 1992.
