The project
The disposal of a whole site development in Ludgershall in Wiltshire providing 7no family houses delivered as 100% affordable rented homes.
The site was owned by a local SME developer who had secured a planning consent for 7no family homes. The developer required’ assistance to place the site with a Registered Provider.

It can often be a challenge to identify providers interested in developments below ten units and so we were pleased to work with Wiltshire Council to bring the site forward to provide much needed affordable housing in the south of the county.
Our solution
Rapleys brought the opportunity to the attention of Wiltshire Council who acquired the site as part of their capital programme to deliver affordable housing.
We worked with both parties to agree the heads of terms and package deal agreement terms and managed the acquisition through the legal process.
The site was acquired by the council in April 2023 on a land and build package deal basis and work is progressing on site.
