Leading Electric Vehicle (EV) charge point operator Be.EV has instructed Rapleys to find a number of sites across the UK as it looks to expand its national network considerably in the short, medium and longer term.

Rapleys will identify and acquire sites such as Drive thru and F&B car parking, retail parks and other locations with heavy traffic and strong vehicle movement for fully-funded EV charging infrastructure installation.

Be.EV, owned by Octopus Energy Generation and backed by major banks, has appointed Rapleys due to its strong track record and market leading position in the Automotive, Roadside and Future Fuels industries.

Priority areas include London and the Southeast, Birmingham and the West Midlands, and the South Coast, with other targets in the East Midlands, South Wales and the M4 corridor, as well as Leeds, Sheffield, and Liverpool.

Be.EV operates a growing, national network of rapid and ultra-rapid EV chargers, boasting a particularly large network in its home county, Greater Manchester, powered by green energy from Octopus.

The appointment follows the recruitment of Joshua Klepper as an Associate Partner in Rapleys’ Commercial Agency team, part of its Commercial Division, from Cluttons.  Joshua has over 10 years’ experience in agency with a strong background in connectivity and EVs in particular.

Daniel Cook, Head of Automotive, Roadside and Future Fuels at Rapleys, said: “Be.EV is a leading charge point operator and we are delighted to be partnering with them to accelerate their growth across the UK. Our Automotive, Roadside and Future Fuels business has been a core sector for Rapleys for many years now and we keep going from strength to strength. We added an expanded ‘Future Fuels’ service last year having anticipated client demands to embed this specific service into the business. We are now working with leading brands to help them grow their coverage in the sector and Joshua is a very welcome addition to the team with his background in connectivity and EVs in particular.”

Joshua Klepper added: “Rapleys is one of the market leaders in the Automotive sector and I am delighted to play a part in its future growth story and to bring relationships across to benefit from their wider lifecycle offering, including agency to professional, building, development and planning services. The breadth of client projects underpins their position as the go-to advisor in the industry.”

Rapleys works with some of the most renowned brands across the sector including Kwik Fit and Tesla. The business has expanded its commercial division with the recent acquisition of office agents Mellersh & Harding and the Avison Young retail team. It has also been following a strategic growth plan across the wider business with over 12 partners recruited in 2025 alone.
