Hear from our previous Graduates
“The graduate rotation scheme began with six months in the Building Consultancy team, my home department, where I gained experience across both the project and professional teams. From day one, I was supported by colleagues at every stage of their careers, from APC candidates through to Partners, giving me the confidence to take ownership of projects and surveys while having experienced people to learn from.
Each department has been welcoming and invested time in helping me understand their area of expertise, while giving me the opportunity to contribute to work that I can take back to my home division.”
Oliver Hampson, Graduate Surveyor
“I joined Rapleys as a grad in the Planning division in September 2025. Straight away I was exposed to a wide a range of planning projects. I’ve valued this instant diversity of work, ranging from smaller scale residential and commercial schemes to large scale master planning (Ebbsfleet Garden City) and more specialist sectors such as Data Centres and Public Realm.
Across all divisions at Rapleys, the atmosphere has been very welcoming and relaxed. Each team have been great in providing guidance in my early career by training of new skills, as well as recognising and utilising the skills I have to offer. I’ve also enjoyed the day trips, (Oxford, Hampton Court Palace), socials around Soho, as well as the occasional football match and volunteering afternoons. These are a fun way to get to know more about my colleagues, different business functions and the wider industry.”
Tom Gedye, Graduate Planner
“During my time as a Residential Graduate Surveyor, I have gained exposure to various projects across the public sector, affordable housing, and residential development. This experience has strengthened my understanding of valuation methodologies, development appraisal, and report writing.
As part of the graduate scheme, I have also undertaken rotations across other divisions within the business, providing insights into different areas of the wider real estate industry. These rotations have enabled me to work with a wide range of colleagues and projects, whilst strengthening my understanding of how various disciplines within the industry work together.”
