Our Experience:

Planning:

Our planning specialists will support you throughout the delivery of residential-led development schemes, securing planning permission through a commercially minded approach. The team works closely with key officers, stakeholders and local councils, adapting strategies where required and providing practical solutions to planning challenges, as well as always seeking out innovative opportunities. With extensive experience in maximising residential development opportunities, the team also advises on change of use projects, including the conversion of retail and other uses to residential developments. Further support includes advising on acceptable levels of demolition, new build and subdivision within listed buildings, preparing robust planning statements to justify proposals against planning policy, and undertaking ongoing liaison and negotiation with Case Officers and Conservation Officers.

Building Consultancy:

Our Building Consultancy specialists provide technical expertise throughout the development process, supporting residential schemes with health and safety advice during the pre-construction phase and working closely with design teams and contractors to ensure effective coordination on complex sites. The team also has experience acting as service coordinator on new residential developments as part of our Land Development Project Management service, advising on new residential units and associated infrastructure. By acting as the technical interface for all matters relating to design, legal agreements, programming and the installation of proposed services, we will ensure the timely delivery of services and will keep your project on track for completion. We also advise on solutions relating to existing and proposed services, as well as wider above and below-ground infrastructure within residential developments.

In addition, the team undertakes stock condition surveys through a bespoke stock condition survey database, generating comprehensive, quality-assured data, including full photographic schedules, as well as viability assessments on residential developments.

Residential:

Our Residential division provides a broad range of expertise across development, affordable housing, public sector consultancy and asset management. Advising on the acquisition and disposal of residential-led development sites, our expertise covers: complex brownfield opportunities, greenfield land for traditional housing, single and multi-family Build to Rent schemes, and care and retirement developments. In the affordable housing sector, the team also delivers valuation advice on matters including land, land and build package acquisitions, and Section 106 agreements, supporting site redevelopment and maximising both land and resale values. With extensive experience working alongside Registered Providers, the team is appointed to the valuation panels of more than a dozen organisations. Supporting local authorities and central government agencies in bringing forward land for development, our team assists in delivering regeneration objectives while ensuring compliance and achieving best value.
