Alex Rogerson

Alex is a Partner in the Planning team. He joined Rapleys in August 2022 having previously worked at JLL, Lichfields and Turley. Alex has coordinated and successfully delivered a variety of challenging projects on greenfield and brownfield sites across London and the UK with a particular focus on the industrial, logistics and trade sectors, together with residential, retail and mixed-use.

Projects of note include: securing planning permission for a multi-let industrial and trade counter estate comprising 14 warehouse units at Towcester, West Northamptonshire; obtaining planning permission for circa 180,000 sq ft of flexible employment floorspace at Patchway Trading Estate, Bristol; securing planning permission for the redevelopment of an underperforming retail park in Stevenage to secure 100,000 sq ft of flexible employment space; and delivering a resolution to grant planning permission for 460 build to rent homes in Ealing.

As well as successfully coordinating and negotiating large scale planning applications, Alex is adept at managing large multi-disciplinary teams and being the driving force behind them. He advises funds, institutional investor clients and developers on site acquisitions and disposals, and also identifies clear and coherent strategies on how to maximise value on existing assets/land.
