Bernard Greep

Bernard is a Chartered Town Planner with 27 years’ of professional experience. He is a Partner within Rapleys’ Planning team, and he practices nationwide.

Bernard has advised numerous LPAs and other public sector clients, including Homes England and the NHS.  His experience includes promoting sites of all sizes through the planning process; developing masterplans and delivery/implementation plans; and evidence base studies to inform planning policy.

Bernard promotes sites through the planning process for private sector clients encompassing developers, housebuilders, landowners and a diverse range of commercial interests.  These sites range in size and complexity but many of the larger sites that Bernard promotes have an industrial legacy, which means that he is acutely aware of issues affecting viability and deliverability.

Bernard is very familiar with Business Case Development, Green Book Appraisals, Funding, Evaluation and Economic Impact Assessments. He has led various, successful Future High Streets Fund and Levelling Up Fund submissions.

Bernard is also an expert witness, and he has achieved a favourable outcome for our clients at the vast majority of the public inquiries and DPD examination hearings at which he has appeared.
