Jonathan joined Rapleys in 2026 as a consultant within the Neighbourly Matters team, specialising in Rights to Light and Daylight & Sunlight assessments. With over a decade of experience advising developers, architects, planning consultants and local authorities, he provides pragmatic, commercially focused advice across a broad range of development projects.
Jonathan gained his Postgraduate Diploma in Building Surveying in 2011 and has extensive experience advising on projects ranging from residential extensions to major mixed-use, commercial and public sector regeneration schemes throughout London and the UK.
His portfolio includes high-profile developments such as Hallsville Quarter in Newham, Roehampton Community Hub, Leathermarket Community Housing, Hereford Court in Brighton, Bampton Court in Lewisham and the Chelmer Waterside regeneration in Chelmsford. He has worked closely with leading architects, planning consultants, developers and local authorities, delivering robust technical advice to support planning and development objectives.
Jonathan combines strong technical expertise with a practical understanding of the development process, enabling him to provide clear, proportionate advice that helps clients successfully navigate Rights to Light and Daylight & Sunlight matters from the earliest stages of a project through to delivery.
