Tim is a Chartered Town Planner with 40 years’ professional planning experience in both public and private sectors. He began his career working for 14 years in development management for local planning authorities and has spent the last 25 years in planning consultancy, currently as an Associate Partner within the Planning Division at Rapleys.
Tim has extensive expertise in advising public and private sector clients on a wide range of planning and development matters, particularly in relation to residential, commercial and mixed-use projects.
He also has in-depth experience of dealing with and project managing the planning appraisal, application and appeal process and strategic promotion of sites through the statutory Development Plan system, on behalf of developers, national housebuilders, strategic land companies, commercial investors and public authorities such as County, District and Borough Councils and Homes England. Tim has also prepared and presented expert evidence in respect of planning, Green Belt, housing land supply and all related matters at many planning inquiries, hearings and Local Plan examinations.
