What we do
Utilities Consultancy
Comprehensive utility management and co-ordination in support of your development project
With growing pressure on existing infrastructure and requirements for new connections across all utilities, the need for integrated utility management and co-ordination is becoming increasingly essential across all development projects.
Utilities pose significant challenges in project planning and delivery due to constraints, costs and timelines. Our specialist Utilities Consultancy team navigates these challenges seamlessly through comprehensive utility management and co-ordination that begins with in-depth due diligence and constraint planning and reporting which sets the foundation for a proactive and anticipatory approach to utility changes.
We work closely with our Land Development Project Management team to conduct comprehensive capacity assessments to determine optimal load, secure connection points and procure providers to create best value for our clients. Our energy usage strategies add tangible benefit to projects, mitigating risks associated with utility constraints.
For new sites with a requirement for utility connections, we procure quotations for new supply from incumbent and independent companies, calculate site-wide load requirements and optimise energy strategies for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. We always consider new and innovative solutions including district heating strategies, battery storage, or microgrids, presenting all options to our clients to maximise project value and reduce risk.
Where a new site requires utilities diversions, whether for S278 works, new site entrance works, or on-site duct/cable adjustments, we will explore all options to mitigate or eliminate this need.
When existing live connections are no longer required, we manage the disconnection and removal process, liaising directly with utilities companies and overseeing the service from start to finish.
All of our services are supported by comprehensive reporting, tailored to each unique project and the needs of our clients.
