Chris Stewart

Chris Stewart recently joined Rapleys as an Associate Partner within the Housing Consultancy team. With 19 years of experience as a building surveyor, Chris brings extensive expertise, having primarily worked in the private sector, focusing predominantly on social housing.

Throughout his career, Chris has undertaken thousands of Stock Condition surveys across the social housing sector, working on a wide range of properties. He also contributed to the CDC program of school surveys, which, at the time, was the largest of its kind ever conducted in Europe. In addition, Chris has carried out various legislative compliance surveys, including HHSRS, Decent Homes, Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), Disability audits, and asbestos surveys. His experience spans not only social housing but also diverse property types, from public buildings and leisure centres to large industrial sites like chemical plants (including Ineos).

Chris has had the opportunity to work across multiple sectors of the built environment, allowing him to adapt his approach to different client groups and property types. With his extensive experience, Chris is committed to questioning accepted practices and continuously seeking more efficient and effective solutions for his clients.
