Jake Challinor-Smith expertise

Jake joined Rapleys in November 2023 at Planner level. He has an MSc in Urban Regeneration and Development from the University of Manchester and has experience in both public and private sectors, working on projects in many different industries such as residential, retail and commercial. At Rapleys, he mainly works on retail, residential and transport developments.
Jake is experienced in preparing and submitting planning statements, design and access statements, discharge of conditions applications, advertisement consent applications, variation of condition applications, EIA screening opinions, and statements of community Involvement. He also has experience with site planning appraisals and project management throughout the whole planning process, from managing technical consultants to the live planning application itself.
Jake qualified as a chartered Planner in 2025.
