Office
Nathan joined Rapleys in 2024 as a specialist within the Neighbourly Matters team, advising on Party Wall and wider neighbourly matters across complex residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. He works closely with developers, legal advisers, architects and multidisciplinary project teams to help navigate the legal and practical challenges that arise throughout the lifecycle of a development.
With a background in building surveying and extensive experience on major projects across London and the UK, Nathan has advised on developments ranging from private residential schemes to large-scale commercial and institutional projects. His expertise extends beyond Party Wall matters to include access licences, crane oversail agreements, scaffolding and hoarding licences, enabling clients to manage neighbourly risks through coordinated, commercially focused advice.
Nathan is recognised for his collaborative approach and ability to integrate seamlessly within project teams. By reviewing both design proposals and construction methodologies, he helps identify potential constraints at an early stage, reducing risk, facilitating delivery and protecting relationships with neighbouring owners. His experience includes advising on long-term developments through multiple construction phases for a diverse client base, including major landowners, healthcare organisations, financial institutions, universities and other high-profile property owners.
Alongside his consultancy work, Nathan is a regular speaker on Party Wall and neighbourly matters, sharing practical insight with developers, architects, engineers and other industry professionals. His commitment to collaboration, communication and technical excellence makes him a valued adviser on some of the industry’s most challenging development projects.
