Reiss Thompson

Reiss joined Rapleys in December 2021 and is an Associate – Cost Consultancy & Project Management. He has predominantly worked with local authorities and registered providers to deliver affordable housing, including extra care developments.

Stemming from a building contractor background, Reiss studied as a Building Surveyor before developing his skills to focus on Project Management and associated services. He has delivered numerous types of residential developments, including conversion/adaptation of existing stock, affordable rent, shared ownership, vertical extension and specialised housing for the later living community. Experience working as a Building Surveyor and Principal Designer has enabled Reiss to contribute to the design and delivery of projects, with careful consideration of commercial and end user requirements.

Having delivered three extra care developments between 2019-2021, he has specific experience with stakeholder coordination and development of appropriate specification for the care sector, including operational requirements, DDA and dementia friendly principles. Lessons learnt in this particular area will offer value to care sector developments.

Reiss attained his APC in 2025.
