Project & Cost Management
Service
The project
Duck Hall Farm is a residential development consisting of 150x new dwelling’s, electric heated with EV chargers for each dwelling.
The Client required a full sweep of utility consultancy from diversions at the new proposed site entrance, PoC procurement for the power requirement and multi utility new supply quotes to understand the cost implications for the infrastructure on site.
Our solution
We initially started with procuring the existing utility records, this gave us a clear indication of any utility asset that would be affected by the development and made the required applications. This is followed up by detailed meetings and site visits to ensure the diversions are done to an acceptable cost to the developer and follows a sensible diversion route that all parties are happy with.
We then calculated the site electricity load and made a PoC (point of connection) application to the DNO, to understand where the load comes from, if any reinforcement is required and ultimately secure the power for the site.
Finally, we obtained a host of MU new supply quotes from the independent market to supply the site to understand cost implications and formal quotes would be obtained at a later date.
