The project
Rapleys was instructed to advise on 161 new residential units and associated infrastructure for a site located along Arlesey Road, Stotfold.
Rapleys was appointed to act as a Services Coordinator for the scheme. We obtained, checked and challenged service diversion quotes from incumbent service providers and against scheme designs.
Our solution
We acted as a technical interface in all matters in relation to the design, legal agreements, programming and laying of proposed services.
Rapleys was also responsible for leading and producing a strategy in relation to the provision of electrical vehicle charging for the site.
Our team undertook clash detection and advised on solutions of existing and proposed services with the wider above and below ground infrastructure.
A key success on this project was the production of the electrical vehicle charging strategy for the site. The planning approval contained a planning condition in relation to the provision of active and passive charging points.
Rapleys spearheaded the production of a charging point strategy working closely with the client and the project team to identify potential opportunity and risk. We also provided an optimum solution in terms of cost, ease of installation and accessibility to the end user.
