The project
Rapleys Retail team are retained by Manchester Airport Group (MAG) to advise on the major expansion of Stansted Airport, providing leasing advice. The project comprises c.200,000 sq. ft of additional retail and F&B accommodation across more than 40 units, creating one of the most significant airport retail developments in the UK. The airport will become the busiest single terminal airport in Europe, serving 43 million passengers.
Rapleys’ role includes providing detailed leasing advice, securing occupiers, and delivering an aspirational tenant mix aligned with the evolving demographic and catchment of Stansted Airport. Target operators include high-performing, complimentary uses with proven turnover capability in travel hub environments, ensuring the scheme maximises both passenger experience and commercial return.
