The project

The project was for the redevelopment of the Former Chambers Bus Station in the picturesque village of Bures in Suffolk.  The redevelopment saw the creation of 10 new residential homes and a new commercial unit, whilst maintaining the style in the conversation area and listed nearby buildings.

The development was within close proximity to a number of neighbouring properties.

Our solution

Rapleys were engaged to deal with Party Wall matters.

We attended site to appraise all possible party wall considerations and advise on technical aspects on design, and how the Act would be relevant to different neighbouring properties.

We reviewed the proposals provided and gave advice on statutory obligations arising from the Party Wall Act.  We served notices and prepared and undertook numerous Schedules of Condition.
