Rapleys were appointed as Employer’s Agent on this new build commercial project. Works included the demolition of an existing historic building, and new build construction of six levels of high-quality office accommodation, semi-public courtyard gardens and two commercial A3/A4 units.
The composition of the front façade included a mixture of Portland stone and glazed terracotta faience panels. This design will improve the streetscape and positively impact the local economy.
- Stakeholder management is important on a project of this scale, with numerous parties contributing to the design and construction. We organised, chaired and minuted regular project meetings, including monthly project meetings and ad hoc focus meetings.
- We conducted interim site inspections to record and challenge programme, quality, health & safety and financial matters.
- We administered the Building Contract (JCT Design & Build), thoroughly assessing and managing changes and claims.
