
Strategic property consultancy Rapleys has hired Karen Jones as a Partner in its London-based planning team as it continues to add talent across the business in line with its strategic growth plan.
Karen joins from RPS where she was Planning Director and also Operational Director since 2014. She brings with her 30 years of planning experience. Prior roles include being Planning Director at CgMs Ltd (later acquired by RPS), Partner at Cushman & Wakefield, Associate Director at GVA. Karen qualified as a Planner at Nathaniel Lichfield and Partners.
Karen has specific expertise in Urban Planning, Urban Regeneration and Sustainability, working for both public and private sector clients across commercial, residential and mixed use schemes. She was named as one of Newington’s Women of Influence in 2020, celebrating influential UK women in planning, property and the built environment.

Rapleys has also been strengthening its planning capabilities in the regions with Manchester in particular seeing the addition of Bernard Greep as Equity Partner, Michael Gilbert as Partner and Bal Tiwana-Thompson, Alastair Skelton and Tim Coleby all as Associate Partners.
Since the beginning of the year Rapleys has launched a Cardiff office and acquired the London-based retail team from Avison Young amongst other senior hires, adding 12 new Partners across the business.
