Rapleys promotions see three new Equity Partners, one new Partner, an Associate Partner, several new Associates, and five new Heads of Office

UK, 10 May 2023 – Property consultancy Rapleys has made a raft of senior promotions with three new Equity Partners amongst them.
Dan Tapscott, Head of Neighbourly Matters; Daniel Cook, Head of Automotive and James Porter, Head of Building Surveying in London become Equity Partners.
Dan Tapscott launched the Neighbourly Matters team when he joined Rapleys in 2016 and has grown it to one of the leading practices in the industry. Dan is also a pioneering voice in the market on all Rights to Light and Party Wall issues, the secretary of the Severnside branch of the Pyramus & Thisbe Club, on the RICS Great Western Committee and also set up the CPD and business networking group ‘Light Knights’ which has grown to over 300 people in two years. He invests time in personally developing people in the business and their careers and also acts as a mentor to building surveyors undertaking their APCs.
Daniel Cook specialises in both agency and professional consultancy for the Automotive industry. With clients such as Pendragon plc, Mercedes-Benz, Network Rail, Sytner Group and Columbia Threadneedle, he also advises eight out of the top 10 car dealers in the UK, He is also a RICS Registered Valuer, RICS APC Assessor and a RICS Fellow.
James Porter has been at Rapleys for seven years and leads the London building surveying team. He has a range of in-depth experience across all areas of commercial building surveying and specialises in managing refurbishment projects, project managing refurbs valued at over £8m; and is also an expert at negotiating large dilapidation claims for both landlords and tenants from pension and investment funds to global brands.
In addition, Natasha Bray, Head of Neighbourly Matters in London, becomes a Partner. Having joined Rapleys in 2017, Natasha’s particular area of expertise lies in maximising the development potential of sites; compulsory purchase and s203 with council related schemes.
Also as part of the promotions round, Charles Alexander in the Residential division is made Associate Partner. Charles focusses on the sale and acquisitions of development land throughout the UK. Jamie Miller and Tom Seckington, also in the Residential division, are made Associates. Both work with the Affordable Housing team, assisting landowners, developers and Housing Associations. They are joined by Joshua Ambrus in Planning who also becomes an Associate and works across a wide range of Local Authority Areas, specialising in residential and retail sectors.
Finally, five of Rapleys’ regions saw promotions to Head of Office roles with Alice Ray and Ali McInroy sharing the Alconbury position, Jane Nichols becoming Head of Birmingham, Liz Locke Head of Bristol, Caroline Emile Head of London and Jo Ann Mellor becoming Head of the Manchester office.
